The Disappearing Botox Reps.
The worst thing your medical spa can do is to overpromise and underdeliver.
Six months ago I had a visit from a Botox rep that described his position as a new "practice building rep". He handed out a few rhinestone studded 'Botox' t-shirts and promised to help build our Botox revenue. (We had showed up on some Allergan screen for increasing Botox revenue 400% in a year.) I was told that Allergan had empowered these new reps to do whatever they needed to do to help clinics with increasing sells.
So what happened.
Nada. Zippo. Zilch... Makes me want to start ordering my Botox for Canada.

I have a better one. I have been in business in Southern California for almost 4 years. I have called my rep on many occasions to come visit me and I have NEVER had a visit from my rep. I only talk to my rep when I call him and he acts like I am bothering him.

Jeff make sure you get the Allergan hologram on it. My Botox rep bought a local med spa and is now competes for my botox biz (no longer works for Allergan). All those Botox samples (I should have got--when using Botox "off-label yrs ago)-I'm sure she's using for her start-up :) Soon Botox will have some competition....I can't wait!
Is anyone else tired of the annual increase in cost and shipping? Even though most of us have not increased our prices due to competition. I also can't wait for them to have a little competition.
Isn't it the first quarter in 2009 that Botox has it's first competitor?
You really dont have to look to far back in history to see that Reloxin will have no effect on pricing for us. Look what Allergan did with Juvederm when they brought it to market. Identical price points as Restylane. Having said that, at least my Restylane rep. makes an effort to show interest in my practice. Every Botox rep. was worthless.

The only time I have seen my Botox Rep was when he wanted me to sign up for some 3 month credit. Do they get a bonus for that? I guess since I don't need 3 months to pay off my Botox/Juvederm Order, I'm not wanted. I will NEVER contact him. I order only from the company in hopes that he doesn't earn a dollar from my account.
