We’re the architects and individuals behind the development of some of
the current medical spa businesses and medical technologies. As such,
we keep in close touch with this industry — this site is a place to
share our ideas.

Who's behind Medical Spa MD?
Medical Spa MD is published by me, Jeff Barson, Managing Partner of Surface Medical Spas. I own (legally) and run multiple medical spas and cosmetic clinics as well as a number of other businesses in medical marketing and printing, advertising, and technology. (My tech startup blog is at NimbleTheory.com) My wife loves it when I use this picture and yes... it's an older shot and I've matured (put on some weight) since then.I write Medical Spa MD to help physicians who are in cosmetic medical practices run their businesses more effectively and deal with the sometimes overwhelming prospect of running a cosmetic practice that includes marketing, staffing, and operations. I have opened numerous clinics and consulted numerous physicians and businesses about how to compete and succeed in this market. You can read more of my Bio & Surface Medical's history here.
NEW: I'm no longer the only writer on Medical Spa MD so you'll have a broader range of opinion. All of this is only an opinion of course. Take it with a grain of salt.
