My name is Jeff Barson. I'm the Managing Partner of Surface Medical Spas. Medspa Onlines reflects the views and opinions I've garnered from managing Surface as a multi-location, multi-physician practice and what I've learned from the many physicians who have trusted me with their own clinics.

Jeff Barson is a serial/parallel entrepreneur. He has founded an advertising agency, publishing company and several other internet-related businesses in addition to Surface Medical Spas. He loves the world of innovation and ideas. He formed Surface Medical Spas in 2000 and has grown Surface from one part-time clinic to 5 clinics in two states with revenue growth of 5000%. He councils physicians and businesses around the world on the emerging revolution in cosmetic medical businesses and delivery systems. Jeff runs this blog as a free resource for physicians and professionals working in this market.

About Jeff Barson & Surface Medical Spas
Surface Medical Spas was created in July of 2000 from a tiny effort as an add on to a pain management and general practice clinic in Layton, Utah. At the time the gross revenues from this part time clinic (Elegant Skin) was $5k per month. Jeff thought there was an opportunity to do better and approached the physician about building a real business.
Since that time Surface has grown to five clinics in two states with monthly sales in the hundreds of thousands of dollars each month. Surface has developed a number of proprietary systems, treatments, and technologies that have been helped fuel this astounding internal growth and has led directly to the formation of a new Surface company, headquartered in Nashville TN that will be building clinics in the SE of the United States. Jeff is a firm believer that medicine means 'physician' and all Surface clinics are 'physician centric', providing the highest quality medical care and dominating their local markets.
Jeff has consulted with physicians, businesses, and investors around the world on the cosmetic medical market and building businesses. Bio
Born Logan, Utah. Schooled in England. High school, back in Utah again. College USU. Majored in Art after pre-Med. Two years Boston. Nine years Manhattan. Now nine years in Park City. 
A few years ago Jeff Barson was an established and respected artist living in Manhattan working with clients that included New York City Opera, Ballentine, Coca-Cola, and every major publisher in North America. Jeff was a rising star in the art world with credits that include commissions to paint portraits of Princess Diana as well as Vivien Leigh for the 60th anniversary of the release of Gone With The Wind. US Art magazine named Jeff one of ten artists to revolutionize the US art market. Jeff has taught and lectured around the country.
Jeff has also had more than a few hobbies. As Managing Director of the Russian-American Society for the Protection of Animals (An international non-profit 501c charity) based in New York City, Jeff had the opportunity to help save some polar bears and arctic foxes.
Moving to Park City, Utah, Jeff caught something of an entrepreneurial bug, starting a publishing company, a funky furniture company, advertising agency, medical clinics. and an internet marketplace. Jeff is married to a dazzling gorgeous and headstrong creative director Shelly. (Shelly was not put off when, before we were married, I made her attend an opening of mine in South Carolina that included mingling with 600 women dressed up as Scarlet O’Hara.) They have one daughter, Madison.
Jeff lives in Park City, Utah with his lovely wife Shelly, daughter Madison, dog Jai, cocatoo Loki, and horses; Pharaoh, Maverick, Cakee, and Moon.
